MS remount, now total smoothness
So I'm not sure if I ever told anybody on here how I had my MS mounted...
I had my parallel harness all plugged in and tucked up under the dash, then I had a long (3-4') Vacuum hose and DB37 extention cable running through my kick panel and through my sill plate, and the MS was stuffed under my drivers seat. Yesterday I moved my MS up under the dash where I found a nice place under the steering column to tuck it in. I removed the 3-4' piece of vacuum line, and got rid of my extention cable. I started the car and drove it. Holy AFR smoothness. Ever since I MS'd my car the AFR's were very rough, I could watch the needle on my gauge bounce all over, my datalogs even looked like ****. Now..smooth as silk. I still have a high idle issue though, which I'm certain is my IAC. I measured the resistance on it today, and got nothing. Looks like I'm callin FM salvage! So since my idle problem isn't an MS issue, and now the car is silky smooth, I am now reproclaiming my loyalty to MS. Now I just need to get launch control and EBC...

Thirdgen: check out the "working configuration (edited by Paul)" diagram in post #39 at https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t30067-2/#post389112 ... this way you use the EBC solenoid to ease into manual boost control. It works great. I have a simple on/off switch in interior console wired into the EBC ground wire. When the switch is off, I get wastegate pressure of approx. 9.5 psi. When it's on, I get MBC pressure of 15 psi.

See I no longer have rear defrost or A/C. I was gonna use the rear defrost button for the EBC switch and run wastegate of 7psi, and then push the button to enable to EBC and run 14psi. So you guys are saying that EBC with MS sucks. My manual boost controller Sucks. If I am driving down the street and I hit the gas at say 3500RPM, I overboost 7 out of 10 times. Then my MS cuts off (15psi) and my car jerks around and I look like a jackass with a shitty running car. On the dyno I had my MBC set at the same as it is now, and it wouldn't boost more than 12psi.
