how do you tell the incoming signal on a mega squirt. Not on a miata (my car is fine ) but i am installing a ms on a 240 with a distributor and no problems till i get to 4500rpm then the tach drops to apx. 2000 and it starts back firing. Same problem no matter what free rev or a load no difference?

 

Sounds like a rev limiter to me. Have you checked the rev limit settings?

Also, post an MSQ and a log.

 

the rev is at 6500 for soft and hard at 7000? weird problem at about half that let me go turn them up?

 

The same problem. It has to be something in the ms or the signal because even if i am in my fuel map it also drops to the 2000 range weird.

 

It's definitely a problem with the RPM input - I've looked over a data log he sent me and the RPM signal gets cut in half at the point he mentioned.
