I just recently bought a used MS1 pcb v3.57 and I hooked it into my car and everything but now when I open up tuner studios my laptop won’t detect it.. I’m using a serial to usb adaptor don’t know if that matters or not.. any help would be highly appreciated

 

Some usb serial adapters have problems with MS. The one from DIY Autotune works.

 

so i should purchase one from there? but how do i tell if thats actually the case and that the ecu isnt just getting power or something like that?

 

I guess you could use a Multimeter to check the outputs for signs of Life. There may be some LEDs on the case or board, too.
