Default MS2 Basic starts then immediately dies

I recently bought a used Rev-built MS2 here on the forums to upgrade from my MSPNP.

The car ran pretty good on the mspnp but the ecu had a problem with random resets while cruising. Only mods are Toyota cops in batch fire, Five-o 550cc injectors, Coolant reroute, and an LC-1.

I connected the ecu, lc1 to the ecu and map line. I adjusted the req fuel for my injectors and opened the idle screw on the throttle body all the way up. The car cranks, begins to start, revs to about 1000 rpm and then immediately dies.

I've tried adjusting the fuel in the idle cells, trigger angle, a few different idle settings but I'm not sure what else to try.
The composite log looks very similar to what it was MSPNP, however I don't really know how to interpret it.

I attached my MSQ below.

Thanks for the help - Mike

Should i try jumping the fuel pump in the diagnostic box? I can hear the pump prime when i turn the key.

Start by setting your required fuel properly. Its 3, when it should be around 5.

How is it going to start with almost half of the fuel required?

Also, disable additional drivers in the sequential options.

I never said it was smart :-( . It smelled like fuel but that was probably due to several failed starts.
Ill try to disable those drivers when i get home. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

I set the reqfuel back to 4.9 and disabled the additional drivers under the seq settings. Still doing the same thing.

I took a short log of it trying to start up. Also there is a composite log from startup yesterday.

Hopefully, you also switched the ignition off and on again after you made the changes discussed above.

here's a question: what would normally make a car stall?

Is it possible it's leaning out and unable to continue running? How do you possibly imagine you could solve this problem? Maybe by adding fuel to your start-up enrichments?

Or maybe your idle valve is closing too fast? I wonder how you could find that out? Could you hold it open longer? Possibly? But how does one do that? Through tuning a completely programmable aftermarket ECU? posting online?

Its going into fuel cut above 400rpm.

I opened his basemap to try and find the source of the fuel but it is so messed up, I don't know where to even begin.

It is like someone with absolutely no idea to what he was doing just tried random values everywhere.

sounds like the mt.net approach to EFI.

I added fuel via start up enrichments, it had no effect so I set it back to where it was. According to the data log I posted the injector pulse width goes to zero after the car begins to start.

Shouldn't the car be able to start even if the idle valve was closed, if I as I said in my first post opened the idle screw all the way open? Or should still be able to start by feathering the gas pedal once it begins to start.

The MS2 has far more menus than my old MSPNP, sorry for being a .

Rev, I did cycle the ignition after makings the changes.

Sorry about the mess of a basemap, like I said it is simply what was loaded on the ecu from the previous owner.

I'll look through and try to find what could be cutting fuel above 400rpm.

Thank you again for your help.

While at it, change spark output polarity to going high or you will fry your coils.

Well I tried disabling anything that would possibly cut 100% of fuel such as overboost, launch control, rev limiter, overrun but I am still having the same issue.

Should I possibly try reloading firmware?

I assume I would get an error message of some sort if it were corrupted.

Well I reloaded 3.2.5 firmware and it started right up after a few cranks. Plugged in the values from my old VE map and its pretty darn close just need to do some driving around to fine tune and work with some of the idle settings. Thanks for help.
