Hi Guys, after catastrophic detonation destroyed my engine (4 forged pistons down to the rings, the head etc) we have now got the new motor built and installed.

Amongst other warnings being setup (water pressure, Oil temp, Oil pressure) I want to hook up my knock sensor and set it up in the ecu.

I have done many searches and found lots of talk about the feature but none on how to enable, tune etc...

If anyone could help or point to any threads my searching has missed would be greatly appreciated.

I have this in my instruction sheet but no idea how to wire it in or threshold and value settings etc...

3. Knocking. If the knock sensor picks up enough knock that the ignition is
retarded more than 1.5°, the CEL is activated. This is configurable through
TunerStudio (Extended → Knock Sensor Settings → Flash CEL when knock
retard is more than)

 

You wire the stock sensor (if present?) into the PnP ECU.

All of the settings are configurable.

I have programmed one of my outputs to light a white LED on the dash when the threshold is exceeded and the timing has been retarded more than 0.1 deg.

You need to get some help if your struggling to wire the thing in. Then get help or research other people's thresholds / settings etc.

You will have to see what parts are usable with MS2E, but I suspect much.
