Default MS2 With stock Cam and crank sensor.

I'm pretty sure im not getting spark due to having the wrong Ignition settings and Trigger wheel settings.

Using the Stock sensors what should the Trigger wheel and ignition settings be since its a magnetic pick up instead of wheel.

what sorta MS is this? a custom circuit needs to be built for a v3.0 install.

otherwise, there's a miata 99-00 trigger wheel selection.

make sure not to give away too much info...

you have mods done for a 90-97 CAS. there's a completely different tach input circuit to handle the crank and cam sensors of a 99.

The fact that you are running the B&G firmware doesn't help either. You need to upload the "Extra" 3.0.3u firmware.

You have half that mod. This supposedly works, however, the issue, when you read the thread i linked, is the noise that it can pick up.

all firmware and docs can be found at msextra.com/doc

IIRC, 3.0.3u shows up as 3.0.3s when you load it in TS.

Ahh that helps out alot.

So lets talk about how to setup TS to recognise the cam and crank sensor using 3.03u.

Also is there away to delete the tune on the ecu without reflashing the firmware? I think i messed it up somewhere becuase my fuel pump keeps cycling on and off when key is on.

Do you need both cam and crank inputs to get spark on ms or can you just use crank?

And loading the stock basemap you gave me Braineack should my car atleast start with it? and do i use the sequential or batch basemap?

why not try the diypnp basemap for a 99-00? that sounds like a good start.

Whichever one isn't currently being used for something else.

D14 and D16 are driving your ignition coils, so those are out. And aren't you going to need JS10 for the cam sensor? Apart from that, pretty open. Id' use one of the IAC pins- they're pretty damned useless otherwise.

Go forth and transist.

(Is that a verb? It should be.)

i get config errors if i use anything other than JS10. And its still not sending a spark signal to my coils, i have power to the coils and everything else so its not a blown fuse or relay.

Another quick question should i run a new wire from my cam and crank sensors to ms or is it just as good to use the wire-harness wires? I only ask this cause when i run a composite log in Tunerstudio there's alot of noise.
