Default MS2E BT Old INI

Hello,

I have a MS2E I built for my car in 2008, I have not messed with the tune since 2009. Firmware was MS2/EXTRA 2.1.1pre laptop I had the file on no longer functions. Looking to upgrade coils and injectors in my tune..
Getting the attached message when attempting to communicate through TS 3.1 w Bluetooth dongle. It appears I need an old INI file?

How do I get around this?

Thank You

i would just load the latest supported FW for your board.

Adding the newer firmware would delete all my previous tuning? Always assumed since I initially tuned it on TS it would be supported. I'm often wrong.

yes, you wil be left with a blank tune :(
but TS usually backs up stuff before updating so you may have a chance at retriving...

where'd you get the BIOS?

I would hazard a guess that there's a way to edit the 2.1.1b ini to be accepted by TS as valid for your 2.1.1-pre firmware; your best bet is probably to post this question over on the MegaSquirt forums.

Have you tried creating a new project using 2.1.1e and then when complete, plug in the ECU? I think it will prompt for different version and then pull the tune in and show warnings. You can get the last 2.1.1e on the download site. You could also try this with your 2.1.1b

Thanks,

I used the above method and created a project to 2.1.0 and downloaded the current tune from the ecu. Now I have 12 years of updates to look at.
