Default MS3 Mini - no fuel pump prime

Hello guy's
I've recently installed my MS3 Mini in my '94 1.8 Miata.
I've been running into the problem of not being able to start the car because of the fuel pump which hasn't been running.
So I went on and connected the fuel pump pin and ground in the diagnosis port in the engine bay.
Is there a way to set a certain jumper in the ECU (as said in the title, a MS3 Mini) or do I have to leave it like that?
Has anyone been running into the same problem?

For a 94-95, make sure the FPUMP jumper is set to the two-dot position.
