Im looking at going the Megasquirt route. I'm NA now, but plan to go boost next winter. I also want to be able to switch between E85, premium, and race gas down the road and decided to go with the MS3.

My question is: If I go with the assembled kit do I still need the Jim Stim and Jim Stim expansion?

Woohoo, I got the Brain himself!
So I was thinking to get the DIYBOB and do the harness myself if I went stand alone. But, I'm still on the fence about trying parellel or full stand alone. I have to do emissions every two years and hold out hope that maybe I can parellel and turbo at the same time. I forgot to mention I also wanted to go COPS this winter as well. If I did go parallel, I was thinking to get a boomslang with a MS piggy tail.

 

Does the MS3 require any mods to work with an NB?

I also found a race shop that knows MS from diy's site that is less than 30 minutes away. They have pretty reasonable rates compared to other shops around Chicago and quoted me $250 - $350 to dial in the tune. Their dyno rate is $100 for use of a mustang.
