Hey, I searched and couldn't find anything. I have a TPS from an Automatic (4- wire) from a 1992 car. I am trying to figure out how to wire it up. Brain mentions his instructions are for a vtps or use the automatic tps but I didn't see info on the auto TPS wiring, just for the tps mod. Heres info on what I'm doing.

1. Exocet build.
2. Completely custom wiring harness
3. Followed Brain's build guide
4. MS3x DIYPNP
5. Automatic TPS sensor
6 1992 donor car for the exocet.
7. 1.8 swap w 1.6 tb

I wired everything up for the tps according to the instructions then went to the install section and saw the tps needs to be wired different on 90-93 cars. I havea 1992 car but it doesn't have a manual TPS rather an automatic tps. Info would help, or if there already a topic answering this please post the link and feel free to call me a douche. Thanks.

 

I'm not sure if the wiring diagram is reading top to bottom or bottom to top of the connector, but it looks like it should be 5v, signal, ground, and WOT (not used).

That is the wiring diagram I am using but I am unsure what which color wire is what.

Bl/lt green is the ground I can see.

​​​​​​The red wire is shared with a manual tps for whatever that one is . But beyond that I am lost.


Any idea of what color wires on the auto tps tp to what pins on the ms3x harness?

 

Ok so talking g with a friend my understanding is:

Ltgreen/red- signal =ms22
Red/blk-5vref = ms26
Blk/ltgreen = grd (ground to head)
red - wot = snip it off

Sound good? Maybe brain will chime in to save me?
