MSII DIY kit help - please help a noob
Hi guys i have a 1990, i've started saving up and now it's time to start buying parts for the first part of my project, my final goal is to have a miata just like they did on MCM but i'm going to buy a MSII DIY kit since my dad can solder all that, for now i'm going to buy the MSII and a wideband and run NA power for some months while i save up for the rest.
Question is, does the DIY kit includes all the sensors and stuff i need to delete the stock AFM? if so, all i need to buy is the kit and a tuning cable, right?
And what about the software to tune, does it come with it?

Only the IAT? what about MAP sensor, don't i need? i will put a turbo in the future
also, the IAT wich one is it? Sensors for use with the Megasquirt Engine Management System Megasquirt Kits / Assembled Engine Management Systems, Wideband o2 Sensor Systems and tuning products - DIYAutoTune.com
on that page there are more than one type, of those what do i need

Any you can run any IAT sensor you want. GM seems to be the one recommended though

so all i need is the ECU and that IAT sensor
MegaSquirt-II Programmable EFI System PCB3.0 - Kit w/ BLACK CASE DIYAutoTune.com
is this kit the same as PNP? i just ask because it's cheaper, what's the difference?

here's some real advice:
buy this: DIYPNP Nippon Denso 76pin Unassembled Kit DIYAutoTune.com
plus this: MSPNP and DIYPNP IAT Sensor Kit - Aluminum Bung DIYAutoTune.com
plus about 6' of vacuum line.
assemble the ECU following these instructions and load the provided basemap: https://www.diyautotune.com/diypnp/a...3-16b6-mt.html
(both are a tad out of date -- you could ask someone that knows what they are talking about for suggestions on what to do differently)

but the PNP is too expensive for me, isn't this the same but without the connector?

i just asked if it can be done with the DIY kit, it's a simple answer, yes or no, if there is a product available that is half the price and the end result is the same as the other just with a bit more work, why wouldn't i do it? it doesn't bother me solder wire by wire, i'm not made of money
besides, if i told my dad i bought a ECU for more than 400$... well, he would be ******* pissed, even if i buy the 280$ DIY kit i'm going to tell me it only was 100$
i'm going to ask it again, can it be done with non PNP 280$ kit?

i know i will need a clutch and radiator but everything in it's time
i just want an awnser about the ECU, the rest leave it up to me-
and yes, the turbo and intercooler are cheap because here in europe almost all cars are turbodiesel so the turbo will most likely come from a BMW 525tds, a 1.7 isuzu engine or anyone that uses the TD04 turbo (loads of engines uses it)
and the IC will come from a Ford mondeo tdci

leave my finances to me, i didn't say i was going to turbo it right away, it will take time, besides, the ECU is the most expensive part in the build, the turbo is 200$ the intercooler 70$, wideband 150$, manifold is 250$ the piping, BOV and stuff won't be much more

Yes the MS2 kit you asked about will work, but there is a ton of things that make it much harder to build then going with the DIYPNP. With the questions you have asked I know you have not looked at the MegaManual yet. Being able to solder is only a small part of building the MS. Knowing what circuits are needed for the miata is a big part. Do you know what steps to not due because they are not needed?
