Default MSII v3 + jimstim = no RPM on tunerstudio?

So I have finally built my MSII after the help of this forum and the guides on here - all good stuff!

However, before doing any of the input/output mods etc I thought I would check the build with everything from the megamanual done but no mods. Put the latest firmware on and connected to the jimstim and all seems fine apart from having no RPM, which leads to having no O2, ignition, injector leds etc. A friend of mine has also just built an MSII, the builds look identical and his has the same problem so my guess is the jimstim isnt setup properly for the MSII...?

Has anyone had this problem before and where should I start checking?

Thanks for your help
Ben

switched 2 & 3 are up, rest are down.

tach input modes must be done on mainboard.

nail on the head.. tach input mods must be done.
Is there no way to run it on the stim without the tach mods ?

possibly if you set the stim and software up for a dizzy wheel setup.

the normal stim works for a dizzy wheel setup. so if youre ms2 is running a dizzy wheel, then youre regular stim will work on your ms2...

sigh.
