NA or NB Alternator for Trubokitty 99' Basemap?

I want to know if Trubokitty's 99' base map will work the stock NB alternator just fine? I hear that the NA alternator's are trouble free.
... and from what you guy's are saying Trubokitty's base maps seem to be working for most people and that's awesome. From my research, it seems a better option than what's on the stock base map from a PNP base map

I will go t25 or t3 chinacharger - but are the stock trubokitty base maps pretty darn good for either of these turbos? I know they have different compressor maps and I'm sure I'll have to tweak some fueling, but I'm mostly concerned with ignition timing... so would trubokitty's timing map be ok for either of these turbos 8-12 psi?

I cant speak on alternator control because i have an na6 but no matter what base map you use, you will have to learn to tweak it to work with your car. Plug and play really means plug and tune.
The spark map is for you to judge. I've run up to 12psi on an untouched trubokitty spark map and my motor hasn't given up the ghost, but ymmv.

sounds like something I will do as well for quite some time (regarding base map ignition)
FWIW - I have a '99 running on a MS2-based MSPNP2 (definitely NOT on a base map) and I'm running a RX-7 alternator (which does not have any alternator control via the ECU) without any major issues. The only caveat is that the alternator is not "self-priming" (there's another word for it, but I can't remember what that is. What that means is that the primary windings don't "activate" until the revs go above about 1500 RPM, after that it's all good. To get around that, I've wired in a toggle switch that sends 12v to the secondary windings, which "switches on" the primaries at start-up. After the engine is running, I flip the switch off, and all's right with the world.
I think with a MS-Pro you have alternator control and wouldn't have to fool with any of this (I could be mistaken there - I'm still stuck in the 90's).

Exactly what ecu are you considering?
It's generally a bad idea to use a basemap from a totally different ecu. What you can do is simply export the timing table from the trubokitty tune and import it into your tune.
