Default need to borrow mspnp tuning cable in bay area, ca

Anyone have the mspnp tuning cable they can loan me tomorrow? I'm in the south bay and can pick it up and return it next weekend or sooner if needed.

Buy one at radioshack, staples, best buy, walmart, where ever. You'll need your own.

I don't think Radio Shack sells svideo style connector to db9/usb, but I'll check it out tomorrow. And I'll have my own cable soon enough. I was just hoping to set the thing up tomorrow afternoon.

No one uses a Svideo adapter for their tuning cable. They do have DB9 to USB adapters and straight through cables as well.

I must be mistaken then. All I see on the box is the the main harness female connectors, a svideo style connector, and a map port. This is what I'm talking about:

Get the one that Fry's sells. It's the same one Jerry sells. I believe it's called a USB 2920. I've seen at least one other one that didn't work.

You can come borrow mine if you need one real fast. Shoot me a PM.

Well there i go again. No idea where you would get one. You'll definitely want your own one of those. What happen to the one that was supposed to come with it?

MSPNP cable != MegaSquirt tuning cable.

I think your best bet would be DIYAutoTune.

I just looked around real quick and can't find that type of adapter cable online.

I could always make one, but I don't know the pinout. DIY should be sending mine soon. I was just hoping to do the install tomorrow if someone around here has a cable I can borrow.

The install went very smoothly. Enjoy the control. If you get your idle sorted out, let me know what the steps were. Getting my idle 100% dialed in is on my to-do list for my car.
