No AC after fw 3.3.1a (?)
Hey,
I noticed that my AC does not work, I went to the AC shop today and they said it is an electric problem (no DC to the compressor).
Before I let them dig in, could it be the new fw I use 3.3.1a is responsible ?
Thank you
Elior

Do you have PE1 set up for your A/C input in the software? Can you post an MSQ?
Not thread jacking, but since we have similar issues (exactly the same but opposite, my AC gets stuck on) I figure we can see what similarities we find. For me, I just found that my AC will not turn on, but once the car hits operating temperature, it is then stuck on. Disabling the PA0 circuit for me turns off the AC compressor; however, once I enable it, the compressor stays on regardless of which way the button is pressed on the dash. Likewise, once the compressor turns on (when PA0 is enabled), going back and disabling PA0 does nothing; the compressor remains on. I also found if I play with the thermoresistor values to lower the perceived CLT temp, I can turn my AC on or off. Because of this, I think it's safe to say we are having an ECU issue.
*edit* I found a solution that seems to work well for me. See the following: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...2/#post1092765

1K > Input1 IN > Input1 OUT > PE1
WLED > 1B&1G
This is how my ac is wired, I did this in order to use the ac idleup in beta13.
Worked great, now on 3.3.1a the ac does not turn on (with stock ecu it does)
