Noob to MS1, Take a look at my logs?
Noob to MS1 here, just got mine back from braineack. Standalone harness with map already burned to it, attempted a start with no luck, anyone care to check out my logs guide me through whats going on and how to fix?
Im assuming that the map burned to the MS1 is for the rx7 injectors...
Car specs (not sure what you need?)
95 1.8
stock injectors
stock ignition
MAF delete w/ IAT
narrowband o2
Own, not installed
rx7 460cc
LC-1 Wideband
T3 turbo (along with the other proper FI parts)
Was looking to start/run/drive the car before FI on the MS to basically "get my feet wet" with using the interface.
These are the 2 logs I made while attempting to start the car. Not sure on what info you need to help answer my questions so just ask. USING TUNERSTUDIOMS

With your stock injectors, load the MSPNP msq.
MegaSquirtPNP by DIYAutoTune.com
for a quick fix/attempt, try altering your "required fuel" setting under Basic Settings, Engine Constraints 1. Use 1800cc for you engine size, 4 for your # of cylinders, 265cc for your injector flow, and 12.7 for your air-fuel ratio. This is assuming everything else is hooked up correctly, you seem to be getting the right data, assuming it was around 64 degrees outside that day. Double check that "spark inverted" is set to "yes", ONLY IF YOU HAVE JOE'S NEW SPARK OUT CIRCUIT INSTALLED! I believe that's the only thing you need to change from the MSPNP map, again assuming if everything else is right.
edit: install your damn WB.

WB is wired up and calibrated just didnt have a jack available at hand to get the car up to put it in.
How do I convert .xml file to .msq? Just open it with Megatune?
edit:thanks for the insight and tips!

Haha WB install noted! Its also a DD so any down time due to not having the MS running correctly puts me in a tight squeeze, this being the reason not having installed the WBo2 yet.
Care to elaborate please on "catching but not starting and ASE" what possibly could be the problem with ASE to cause a no-start.

It doesn't look to me like it's catching because the MAP never really drops below what it is during cranking. That and the rpm not staying above 400.
These are the cranking PWs I use on my stock 1.8 injectors:
10.2
10.2
10.2
10.2
9.0
7.9
6.4
4.8
3.6
3.1
Not sure if I've ever started the car at or below 20*F so those four rows of 10.2 won't be optimized, but your car should start assuming it's warmer than that where you are.
Generally, if you crank and it doesn't start, you need to adjust (usually increase) cranking PW. If it starts and then dies quickly thereafter, you need to play with after-start enrichment. I don't think I needed to mess with ASE beyond what was in DIY's base map, but... I use 55 at -40*F and decrease 5 in every cell down the table, so it's 10 at 160*F.
EDIT: And edit your sig homey. None of that **** counts if it ain't installed on your car LOL. It won't help us help you.

"catching but not starting means nothing. If it caught, it'd start. Try doubling your required fuel for ***** and giggles, and see if anything changes. Check the plugs, dry or wet? An engine needs fuel, spark, and timing. Double check all of those.

not sure where you're getting the MSPNP 94-95 map, download the 90-93mspnp msq from the link I provided, should work for yours, just change your required fuel you account for the 230 1.6 and 265 1.8 injector size difference. (AFAIK)

By catching and not starting, I meant there is combustion, and the RPM jumps up. It's hard to tell the scale of that graph and no, if it catches it won't necessarily start. One good combustion does not mean the motor is running.
It may be that it's just jumping off the priming pulse. 2.3 is really low for cranking PW if that's what I'm looking at. What it looks like it catches, the PW was 6.4. Mine's at 5.2 on 360cc injectors looking at my last log. I would try Scott's cranking PWs.

MS was sent assume you'd install the 460s and WB.
You need to make the following changes:
under engine constants, change req_fuel from 7.5 to 13
under cranking settings, change your pw table to read
10
9.3
8.6
8.3
8.1
7.4
6.2
4.6
3.4
3.1
under basic settings, exhaust gas settings change sensor type to wideband (2.35v step) or narrowband (0.5v step) depending on what's actually hooked up.
