Not sure if the ecu or tune is the problem
Hi guys, I am new and just bought a 95 M edition from a friend that just wanted to get rid of it. It was running fine as a 1.8 with FMII kit and megasquirt pnp2? Has 550cc Injectors which I’m not sure if they’re too big. The car ran when he bought it and as of last week has been struggling to stay alive. If I start the car, it’ll idle to 2000 and then shut off. Occasionally it will idle but fluctuate until given gas and dies. Ive owned dsm’s and currently have a evo as well which I’m familiar with but not sure what to check and if the scaling for the injectors are bad. Does this sound like a tune issue? Any insight would help and pointing me to the correct software would be helpful as well as I do have a laptop to tune with. Thanks in advance.

I will download that tonight thank you. I just replaced the iacv and car spits black smoke and dies. Heard something like air leaking and when I checked the engine bay, I saw this stud missing.

Hi guys, Happy ThanksGiving. I have some time while everyones eating to play with Tuner Studio Lite. I am trying to figure out how to pull the information from the ecu. Again the car is a 95 1.8 on PNP2 , RC 550cc, FMII Kit. I am not sure why it won't idle and not sure what to do to get the information you all need to see. Please let me know.

Ask your friend to transfer the license key to you so you’re not using the light version of TS.
There’s a LOT of info out there on MS; would suggest spending some time reading up.

thank you, I asked him for the license key but he bought the car from his friend so hopefully they have it. Is it possible to get it from MS? Does the ecu have a number on it for verification?
