Odering Megasquirt for my '93 Greddy. <<warning - n00b ?s inside>>
Been reading a bit, decided I needed to go ahead and get 'squirted.
I'm going to have 6 months to assemble the thing (I'll be in Kuwait starting in April) so I have plenty of time, I just want to make SURE I have EVERYTHING before I leave the country since I seriously doubt I can find some of the more specialized tools over there.
From reading this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6918
I'm thinking I'll get:
MegasuirtI PCBv2.2, unassembled <-- Can this lower-end kit do the things I want? Run RX7 injectors? Control spark? Be upgraded to do cool stuff like WI and boost control? Read a WBO2? etc?
Stimulator, unassembled
Serial cable, and serial -> USB adapter (laptop has no serial ports)
lead bending tool. apparently I need one.
AEM Uego from WOT
For soldering I was planning to borrow my dad's "Cold Heat" soldering tool, would that work? Also any particular type of solder I need to use? Do I need a grounding strap to prevent static shocking the board?
I've seen some advocate ordering a harness from "boomslang". What is the purpose of this harness and where do I get it from?
Thanks in advance for all help and I'm looking forward to this!
Got my laptop ready and everything:

K, so I'll bring along a cheap set of nail clippers and one of my cheaper soldering irons. Also some fine solder, I'm pretty sure what I have is the thick kind.
Al - can you elaborate about "something to wire it to the car eventually"? Is that the purpose of the boomslang harness or..?
