Thanks, I ordered one!
Planning on replacing my water temp gauge - the bolt pattern is inverted but hopefully I can switch the display orientation in the housing.

Did you manage to get it mounted or just attached it with 2 screws? I was wondering how difficult it is to mount the Canchecked gauge in the temp gauge since my miata has the working oil pressure gauge.

Mike, couple of things.
Your temp gauge (even the one from NA) won't be quite as accurate as, say, a Honeywell unit.
The canchecked gauge has a 3D-printed mount, which falls apart at the moderate pressure (yet, SuperGlue works wonders). It is designed to be mounted in the oil temp gauge location, however, I don't foresee that it would be very difficult to print a custom mount yourself.

Cheers!

I mounted mine in the Temp gauge location with no problems.

I haven't installed mine yet, but I plan on just using the two holes to mount it in the water temp gauge location.
I am also considering drilling a hole for the 3rd mount and putting a screw to retain the gauge underneath the flex circuit.

If anyone has the AFR displaying correctly with Megasquirt 3 please let me know. I am unable to get it to work after updating to a few recommended versions from the CANChecked. They have not communicated back with me for a while.

What's the latest firmware?
I am planning on getting this installed over the weekend. I also have an MS3 so any updates on the AFR issue would be great

I basically just gave up on using it for my AFR and got a dedicated AFR gauge. Support from CANChecked is spotty and of course there is the language barrier. I probably wouldn't recommend this product to anyone and I would suggest finding other alternatives. The OLED screen is a poor lighting choice because of it's brightness limitations so it is very hard to see in the daylight.

EDIT: Also to add, they removed the audio warning ability which was one of the reasons why I bought it. Noticing a warning light works okay at night but during daytime it's very hard.

I've been recommended a Perfect Tuning gauge by multiple sources. I plan on buying one once my car is functional.

Well, this is a bummer to hear. I guess I'll pick up the reigns here and start emailing CanChecked.
Is there any way you can send me the most recent firmware?

Update: I'm running firmware 3.0B_b.
I got it set up to test (but not installed)
There's some kind of unit conversion error. When temp was set to Fahrenheit, a bunch of the values were wrong (AFR and MAP).
Everything seems to work when temp is set to Celcius, though.
I havent tried any of the alerts yet.

Interesting, I never tried running degrees C. I would send that information over to Hendrik, it might help him find the issue with AFR and MAP. I'll take a look at what versions I have, he has sent me over a few over the months. The Fahrenheit difference he said was just a rounding thing. It's only off by one degree so I don't care too much. Clearly this is a bias against the Imperial system.

I currently have updates: v3.0_9i, v3.0b_8, v3.0b_B, and v3.0b_B(for MS2) I believe the v3.0b_B is the newest update I have, at least it's the most recent one that he gave me to try.

Hendrik just responded

Indeed, that was a bug. Please use the version attached.
"52mm_3.0c_B.hex" I haven't tried it yet but will today or tomorrow.
I uploaded the firmware here if you want to try it.

Okay, let me know how it goes. My car is at shop so I currently can't test anything.

This revision (3.0c_B) introduced some other bugs and did not fix the temperature issue.
Sent feedback to Hendrik.

update: It doesn't appear to be a big issue. I got it working correctly - I expect it to be fixed quickly.
