I mean "it's fine". I'm sure the $20,000 EFI's do a better job, but rather than huff and puff about it on forums, I drive the car...frequently.

just to screw with you.

the conversion is pretty simple if you assume 100% is 4-5V.

I really need to tune mine too. or at least the EAE.

Hustler

Would you post up your tables? This is something I am messing with but really don't understand. I'm currently running 100% TPS. I've got a bunch of logs with 5th gear pulls from tuning the boost control. I'm wondering if I can make an educated PW adder guess with the AFR data I collected.

Did you happen to note how much the afr changed given a certain pw adder percent. Ballpark would be great. I can scale it to my injector size.

Here's mine TPS based AE settings. I know they are not right but figured I'd post them anyway. Feel free to critique. I could use the help...

Rate Value

21.2 9.2

10.4 6.8

4.9 5.3

0.0 3.5

Thanks

What ratio of TPS to MAP based is everyone running?

Would someone post a log caption that shows how the afr should respond right after the throttle is jabbed?

I want to see Hustlers MAP and TPS based tables because i believe he spent some time with his girlfriend tuning it and got it pretty spot on.

You'll never get rid of the initial delay of lean when you stab the throttle. The MS must react to changes. And really the enrichments table isn't just for stabbing the throttle, but maintaining AFRs when manipulating the throttle, like cruising at 10% TPS then pushing down to 50% as you go uphill or something.

After a throttle stab it should be able to react quickly enough to make sure the AFRs return back to where they should be. How aggressive you are with your TPSdot threshold value is how fast it will be able to increase the pulse width.

EAE everything even further, using lag compensation to try to eliminate the lean spike. Seq. Injection nearly eliminates the need for it.

My **** is smooth and I'm 100% TPS.

I think my big problem with TPS based is that I don't have my table scaled correctly. I'm goign to look at my logs and evaluate my throttle movements when I am in traffic, having fun, and doing full throttle pulls. Then it should be a little easier to adjusts the pulswidths in those areas.

My transition from no throttle to throttle is not smooth. Such as starting from a traffic light, and between shifts. It feels like it hits resistance then picks up.

I just finished reviewing my logs, and realized I was only using about 25% of the available TPS table.

308%/s is the fastest i could find in my logs.

Here is my starting point for the next phase of tweaking.

%/s PW
25 .1
50 .4
80 .5
310 .6

After reviewing multiple logs it becomes apparent how your driving style remains very constant. I used the above %/s values because they fit my driving style. The PW values are based on my old values and where my logs suggested I needed to add and remove fuel.

100% TPS ( I tried adding a little MAP based yesterday and things didn't go well)
TPSdot threshold 90%
decel fuel amount 100%
cold accel 0%
codl accel multiplier 100%

You should be bale to manipulate the throttle and watch where the green dot ends up on your curve so you know how much to scale it.

I've tuned a number of normally aspirated cars with Alpha-N (RPM and TPS only) from scratch using different boxes. You can get the enrichment to run pretty decently, but I always get different needs across the RPM range and on/off cam etc. Compared to some stock cars, you can sometimes triple response to in-neutral blips to give you a rough idea. More motorcycle-like in effect. This feels nice for downshifts, and of course the in-gear response is also better.

Have you actually measured an 800%/s? That's 0 to 100% in .125 seconds. I must press my pedal like a granny.

Anyway Y8s, How do you like the way your car feels off idle? Have you tried TPS only? What do you think the MAP based adds to the equation that can't be had by TPS alone?

I took a nice datalog yesterday, where, somewhere between two 110-sec WOT sessions I found a 1500% tpsdot spike. For realz.

You guys ever log shifts? This is a mod I came up with for Elises…a clutch stop integrated into the steering rack mount. Photo plus the datalogged result. If you get enrichment and after-shift-boost happy then :-)

Do you have any shift logs you can share? I'd like to see a few, including some boosted cars. Thanks.

I'm not boosted, and this is the only one I have handy.
