starting issue, very confused msq and video
ok I have a ms2 that was built and modded by diyautotune. I have finally been able to get the car to start but it doesn't sound right at all, I had to go to wot to get it to start and stay running and it wouldn't go over 700 rpms. I was able to get it started a few times now it acts like its not getting fuel. I used a noid light on the injector harness its firing the injector and base fuel psi is 43psi when cranking
here is a video of what it sounds like
I have attached my msq, only thing that it isn't showing currently is I had to invert the spark to get it to start, it did get the cop pretty warm so I tried switching it back after It wouldn't start and I get spark at the plugs and I switched the plugs, but I really think there is something going on with my fuel settings that I cant seem to figure out im running Honda obd1 rc440 cc high imp injectors

I put a new timing belt on it. It's perfect. I had to pull the cas to put a new o ring on it. I fried my stock ignitor so I had to put my cop setup on it. I can't use a timing light on it to set base timing. But even when playing with the cas it still doesn't seem to want to try and start anymore like it did in the video

Then play with your fueling to get it to idle.

If you want to use your timing light (inductive) with your cop setup, I always used one of my old spark plugs wires to go from the #1 cop to the spark plug. It won't fire if you put he timing light sensor on the COP wiring before it's gone through the coil. If you're having problems having the wire stay in the coil, just get some tape. It's just temporary until you time it anyway

With a 4-cylinder wasted spark system, you basically have 2 firing events per revolution. On the Miata engine, one firing event should happen when 1 and 4 are near TDC and a second should happen when 2 and 3 are near TDC. Note that on each firing event, one of the pistons is near TDC of the compression stroke while the other is near TDC of the exhaust stroke, hence the term "wasted spark."
Anyway, make sure that the COPS for 1 and 4 fire TOGETHER and the COPS for 2 and 3 fire TOGETHER. If this isn't happening, you will run on 2 cylinders even though everything else is perfect.

Just trace out the primary wiring. Make sure that the primary wiring firing COPS 1 and 4 are connected, and the primary wiring firing COPS 2 and 3 are connected. If they are, then the problem is elsewhere. If not and you have enough slack, you can just switch around the COPS to get them on the correct plugs. If you don't have enough slack, you'll have to do a bit of rewiring.
