Default table switch (or launch) without daughterboard modification?

I seem to remember reading that it's no longer needed to modify the ms2 board to do table switching (or was it launch control)?
Been looking for info on this on MSExtra as well as here, but I can't find any info on it.
Was I dreaming or is the mod indeed no longer needed?
The launch modification isn't really a problem but TS has always been a pain to do.

I stopped touching MS2 in 2010. No clue, but I never saw anything about that.

Table switching (PE1) needs mods; there are several launch pins that don't:

found it, Table switching can be on PE0 as well now. That wire is much easier to solder
