I just installed a Megasquirt diy pnp into my NA8 Miata and was messing around in Tuner Studio and found the Auto Tune feature. I was curious if it worked like the trick holly efi systems with its self learning efi or if it was just this half functional party trick. I haven't found much information on it I think it would be pretty cool if it worked. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

it works very well. not much more info we can give (don't use it to autotune idle)

 

It works great, just Id suggest setting a minimum RPM of say 1,200 rpm so it doesn't change idle.

 

You should PM braineak with all your questions.

 

Make sure your wideband is reading accurately in tunerstudio, and if it's not calibrate it.
Make sure your AFR target table is set up how you want it.

Autotune is only as good as the data you're giving it. If the input data is bad, or the target data is bad, then the result will be bad.

It works about the same - meaning it does a decent job on the fuel table and doesn't do anything for the spark table, acceleration enrichment, or some of the other parameters. Unlike Holley's version, it can tune the warmup settings.
