Tuning/Install/Hardware Problems?
Relevant background first:
91 Chassis
BP4W engine (running strong for the last 3 years) -> CAS removed for stock cam & crank/crank wheel
FM kit (w/o ecm) with EV14 550cc injectors & gt2560
DIYPNP built with sequential injection & boost control, mtx-l wideband (built in 2016, tested successfully briefly, put away for the future)
Finally got off my *** and installed my FM kit. Installed MS, wired for sequential injection (checked continuity between PCM and injectors to verify wiring order), true cam/crank, & boost control (followed all directions on trubokitty). During MS setup & troubleshooting, I realized that I had the signal & 12v lines on the crank swapped. Swapped the wires and now I get a clean composite log.
Using a 9093 base map from trubokitty, the car runs like it has a hard miss. I understand that it's supposed to be a rough map, but it barely stays running. AFR drifts extremely lean (18-22), Auto-VE tune puts values of ~80 in the idle cells, the cat glowed at one point, spark plugs were fouled black. I have spent the last several days reading every forum post & MS manual that seems remotely relevant to try to troubleshoot this before asking for help.... However, now I am stuck and swinging in the dark.
This evening, I started with the assumption that it was an install error. Decided to start at the injectors. Key on engine off, I have 9.0V across each injector pair and 12.0v from white/red to block (battery is slightly depleted from cranking tests). This seems indicative of a grounding fault. Testing it with a 12v supply on the bench yields the same results at each injector output.
Any direction that you guys can give me would be amazing.
