I love the way solder smells....I'm glad I had to dive intot he MS to mod it...gave me an excuse to smell the sweet delight.

I love the smell of solder too. Reminds me of lung cancer. Kind of like the smell of gasoline... you know its bad, but it smells so so good.

On another note I can relate magna... I'm 6'2 220lbs... not cut like you but not a fatty. I'm soldering up my MS now, and I mangled a lead on one of the inductors with my big akward fingers. The soldering isn't always the problem... its getting the components where they go. I wouldn't say its impossible, but it definately takes a little more care.

BTW DIY hooked me up on the messed up inductor. I have never done business with a company that has gone so far out of their way to make sure I am taken care of.

No I wouldn't because I wanted to learn how to do it myself, however I also know that the DIY way isn't for everyone.

There's no need for threats though, it's a discussion not a fight

Who's on roids this guy just struck a nerve. I hate it when people try to catagorize me as a meathead. etc. Esp after i just walked into the garage to find 2 nails in my front tire after a 12 hr shift at work good times sleep will cure all.
and I didn't call anyone a meathead... You dissed the work I've done on my car, I retorted and you can't take it?

chill man we're all in this crazy ECU together, no doubt I'll need your help sometime and vis versa

Scott,

The LC-1 was replaced and the sensor is fine.

Glad that's taken care of, just gotta wait for it from CA, wont get it untill the 4th :(, props to DIY again, just because I bought it through them and well it was under warrenty and I'm happy.

BTW, I just bought a m10x1.25 to m8x1.25 stud for $2.40 and should mount the sensor with no trouble....all the studs I had were too large, but this $3 solution will work 100%.

Care to share where you picked up the stud for $2.40? I'd search McMaster and the usual suspects but hell, you already did the leg work.

yeah got it at ACE...however it's not quite as long as I want it to be (not enough exposed threads)...I'll probably stick a regular m10 stud in there, do the aluminum coupler, and screw an allen bolt into that with the sensor in it....but this will suffice for now....
