Default When do you go open loop? Plus VEAL questions

Background:

1992 with BEGI-S with the ff relevant mods
  • Braineack-made MS 1
  • 460-cc injectors
  • intercooler

I came across a post saying that closed-loop should be *off* in boost.
Where is the ideal point to switch from closed-loop to open-loop?

I currently have it at 30kpa. So, I guess above that, the car switches to the VE table for fueling and ignores 02 sensor feedback. Is this ok?
I tried switching at 100kpa, it felt like it wasn't building boost as fast and the engine was less responsive, so I set it back lower.

Also, I saw another table under VEAL in Tunerstudio. I was happy with my old AFR table, but this other one is 12x12 and has more resolution. Car feels good after about 2 hours worth of VEAL tuning and I'll continue to smooth out the VE Fuel table. Is there any reason why I should stop this and go back to the default (table 1)?

Finally, should PWM 2-wire idle control be set to PWM? Mine came with B&G setting. It seems to run better on PWM, but I don't know if I should change it.

Thanks.

Thanks Scott.

On another note, what started this all is my search for smooth AFR's on the logs. It seems like when you guys have smooth AFR's when providing screenshots or logs. Mine have always bounced up and down, even on my logs, they always come up jagged.

The Print Screen button does a better job at taking pictures of this stuff btw.

Check your keyboard it should be somewhere on the top right end.

Lean, baby, lean. I run 14.7 to 80kpa, 13.0 at 95kpa, no different at cruise.
