PL9-550 - "RC Engineering 550cc Low Resistance Peak and Hold fuel injectors"
How does $100 plus shipping sound? Payment through PayPal Goods and Services. I can text/email pictures and proof of ownership much more easily than posting them (recently dropped to mobile only internet).
I've been cleaning up and reducing my spare parts boxes. These injectors were installed on my Mazdaspeed MX-5 by the original owner or a shop that he hired after he purchased the FM2 upgrade kit around 2010. The car had less than 22k miles when purchased and less than 27k miles when they were removed in late 2021.
I replaced the Hydra Nemesis 2.6 ECU mainly because nobody was able/willing to tune it and an attempt to upgrade to the slightly more user friendly, 2.7 ECU and software with a new O2 sensor failed.
The car achieved 28 mpg on the 1800 mile drive home at 80-82 mph. Once I started understanding the tuning software and dove into the tune it looked like more of a track tune. It was a little less than polished at times on the street. One issue was warm-up enrichment was spitting rich until I adjusted it leaner. It always smoothed out and ran great as it got closer to operating temperature before I tweaked it closer to optimal. Another issue was that it stalled every time I stopped with the A/C running. While I cannot guarantee these are still an extremely closely matched set, I never had reason to suspect anything was wrong with them.
I would recommend replacing the O-rings and lower insulators but they should be plug and play with most aftermarket ECUs. Hopefully somebody can put these to good use!
