That's why that place sucks. The guy has all the markings of a typical douchebag scammer. He ships just enough things on time to keep a customer base and earn some loyalty, and then he waits until business is good... and when he's got a stack of orders lined up, jumps ship with the money.

Just imagine over the course of around 2 months, if he could get one person a day to buy something for about $500, then he'd clear $30k... and *poof* gone like Kaiser Soze.

CR.net & M.net are both just as bad when it comes to protecting their bottom line.......the sponsors that is.

Escalated to a claim due to 'sellers failure to communicate' and 'possible fraudulent account activity'.

PayPal have 'decided in my favor' but there were no funds in 'Racing LifeStyles' account and they could not give me a refund. It appears that he cleared out his PayPal account.
So, he's still got nearly $500 which belongs to me. Anyone know where this guy lives ?

You need to communicate this with anybody you can find who may have some sort of professional relationship with this guy.

Find out where he advertises, all his phone numbers and email accounts, all the forums he frequents, anybody who may be supporting him.... get loud about it shut him down.

Thats looks alot like the standard "Gary Fischman/M.net Approach" to forum admin...just keep the paying sponsors sending in their checks and if they **** over a few people squelch the 'chatter' about it and assume a 'neutral' position.

Leatherface, I PM'd you about it over there, but I thought I'd bring it out over here, too. The same guy that screwed you ripped me off as well. Noah, who later changed his username to doperoadster. Granted, I didn't get taken for as much as you did, but it still rankles. I won't buy anything from that site anymore. Twice burned, and I'm done with them.

The fact that neither of the guys who stiffed me even got so much as a temporary ban from the mods is unacceptable. One of them even had the nerve to contribute 20 bucks to the site minutes after I had PM asking about the $15 he owed me.

His response is the same one any online vendor uses.
"I was away from my computer, I'm sorry." The fact that he admits to some personal factor contributing stealing money from customers means he's no better than BoostinBoy.

I see so much of this **** online. Some guy is running a 1-man show with no help and no contingency plan if he's pulled away from the business suddenly. Well **** THAT GUY!

The only way online vendors get away with that **** is that they're online. No brick-and-mortar store could close shop with no notice while holding people's money and property, and then come back 2 months later and expect everything to be all right.

If the Administrators at CR are still willing to have him on as a vendor, then they're just plain ******* stupid. The good news is that any time RacingLifestyle is mentioned here, it'll get a good and hard assfucking from anybody who remembers this thread. Since just about anybody serious about Miatas frequents all 3 of the main forums, then they'll get here sooner or later and discover all about it.

You know, my experience here has been the exact opposite. Over there, not only do they get away with it, but it seems it's accepted practice. Here, I've gotten good communication, fast shipping, and no surprises. In every case, the feedback I left was positive, and deserved.

Hell, Jared, you even did right by me with the top and the shipping error. A mistake, but you got right on it and took care of it. Frankly, it was after my two bad experiences, and I was afraid I'd gotten burned again. It was a pleasant surprise that some people mean what they say and take care of the problem.

Neither one of my bad deals is gonna break me (12 and 15 bucks respectively), but iif you can't trust the community on simple part sales, it makes getting your car in shape that much more difficult. And, how hard is it to admit you made a mistake and refund the money?

No. He listed a bunch of interior small stuff in individual ads. I PM'd him about the first thing (ashtray) before looking at all the ads. Then I found something else, and sent another PM. Then I found another thing (1/2 height DIN box), and PM'd him again. I also sent another one asking if he'd combine shipping. Since I had been such a pain in the *** over three relatively small items, I threw in an extra couple of bucks to cover the paypal. He never sent the DIN box. I asked, and he said he'd get it to me, but never did. I think he sold it to someone else by mistake.

He then changed his username and stopped answering PM or email.

Yeah, Racing LifeStyle is now going through 'restructuring', which means he's emptied his PayPal account and is going to open a new one for the next scam.
I bet he'll create a new profile on CR.net and become a new vendor, and the Mods in CR.net will pat him on the back again.
Scum bags.
