Default KnocksenseMS

Brand new little unit for MS.

Honestly, I know what knock sounds like, I knock how my oil pressure gauge reacts with knock, and I've made it this far without a knock sensor.

I decided having too many little gadets and do-dads go against everything I stand for :gay:

It works great, don't just feel i have the need for it.

Come complete with sensor, knocksense, & LED. And I'll help you modding your MS if you need help.

$85 shipped

i was just about to order mine, talked to the guy and everything, but basically i had all the same feelings brain did... it is a must for newbs/pushing the limits/miatas without the good OPG though.

Nope, it's brand new and only been installed for a week & only drove the car with it about two times since then, just don't really have the need for it like I thought I did.

Like I said, I know what knock is like on my car, if i hear/see it, then i know [how] to stop and fix it.

I want to redo my mounting solution, but i decided I'd rather just pull it off.

Tom it's yours if Lex doesn't want it.

Most knock cannot be heard. If you can hear it is to late. Yhe whole point of the knock sensor is to listen for the knock that you cannot hear.

remember this is for MEGAsquirt or else you'll just have a nice flashing LED at knock.

I'll have to ask Jerry how something like this will work with a MSPNP.

"Also I need know the approximate cylinder bore when ordering. We tune each
KnocksenseMS filter so that it better matches the engine. This need not be
exact because the filter is deliberately broad in order account for the
variance in knock frequency due to dynamic changes in operating conditions."

That is someing I copied off of their website. Your's is tuned for the 1.6 right? It says it doesn't have to be perfect but it might require some adjustment for the 1.8, no idea how picky it is.

The adjustment for bore is a turn screw (a multi turn pot maybe?) under the cover.

I doubt a couple of mm would matter though.

yeah it's a little "gain" adjustment pot screw....you have to fine tune it anyways to filter out noise.

Tom's getting it....
