Crap. I need some opinions.
I've got a vvt head on a NA8 block. Where should I put the oil feed line? I also want to run an oil pressure sensor and oil temperature sensor.
Where's the best place to run the feed line to? There's the hole on the driver side, but then the feed line I got from Lars is way too long.
Who's got a picture of their oil drain line? Emailed Lars a few days ago, but haven't gotten a response. I'm either just an idiot, or it's way too long. Here's a picture of how I have it. As it is, it's crammed into the subframe when it's in the car. Am I an idiot? Or do I need to get a shorter one made?
You can remove the fitting at one end and cut it down a bit, I had to do that for mine. It’s not hard but it’s a PITA, if that makes any sense. It’s trickey to cut the jacketed tubing without little wires going everywhere, I wrapped it in electrical tape and used a cutoff wheel on a grinder. Use plenty of lube putting it back together.
Ah bummer, didnt know Larz changed up the lines to be crimped
Recent change. That along with a few other small things allowed me to drop the oil line setup price by $60.

I just have not been near a computer due to working on a ton of things. So I have been a bit slow with emails. Line is long to fit around AC/PS
1) I added white thread sealant to the fittings when i put them into the turbo, haven't had any issues with leaking from the lines. My feed leaks at the engine because I had too many beers and didn't add any to it.
2) No clue, maybe someone else can chime in. I ripped my drain gasket but haven't noticed any leaking to speak of
I used thread sealant. If your talking about the drain fitting with 2 bolts, just use some high temp gasket maker. IIRC you can eliminate that flange and use a threaded fitting in place of it. It’s been a couple years.
On the inlet side I used a threaded fitting to eliminate the flange.
I used a thin layer of high temp rtv with the gaskets on My oil feed and drain, the gaskets I used always leaked and I tried a few different materials but they always leaked a little without any rtv help.
In preparation for Larz new better flowing manifold when that comes I decided to upgrade to a cxracing 60ar/63ar dual ball bearing, billet wheel from my still new never mounted 60ar/48ar compressor side ball bearing turbo.
