Default MS Motor Mounts

Took them out for the MMR's. There ready for shipping. A happy median compared to oem and the MMR's. No cracks. Like new.

1.6 and 1.8 mounts are the same (the metal part isn't though)

What are people talking about when they say metal motor mounts? I haven't taken mine out.

chad, the metal bracket thing that the rubber mount connects to. I'll take a pic of the motor sitting in my garage if you need to see it. it's car-->rubber mount-->metal bracket-->motor

exactly, and as long as you have the motor your swapping it to with brackets your fine.

i actually took my metal plates out so my motor would set that .0001" lower...lol Actually b/c they serve no purpose with the MMR mounts

I think were talking about different things, without these theres no way to mount the moutns to the motor unless the new mounts come with mounts.... yes i know there is a better way to say taht.

well there's the motor mount, and then the plate between the mount and k-member.

Or, you could call it the rectangular cup thingy if you wanted to get technical.

You can leave this out, but if a mount breaks the motor can shift around VERY drastically. I saw this cup thingy save the day once.

well between the diff mounts, full roll cage and the Spec Miata suspension, The motor mounts just fit right in with all the other rigidness of the car...
