The difference is you have to build the DIYPNP yourself. I know because I built this unit for him.
From DIYaytotune:
"DIYAutoTune.com is proud to introduce the DIYPNP - the build it yourself kit for plug and play engine management systems! These kits use the newly released MicroSquirt Module as a core, giving you MS2 processing power and speed and the incredibly long MS2/Extra featureset. You can jumper the kits for a wide variety of vehicles; many of these kits have literally dozens of different applications. Complete documentation is online, covering how to assemble the unit and customize it for a wide variety of cars. Each DIYPNP kit comes with a black anodized case to give the unit a finished, professional appearance and a snazzy DIYPNPdecal for the lid."

Since you've built it, would I need to do anything to run it on a boosted setup? Other than the add-on boost controller?
I was planning on getting a MSPNP2 + EBC and IAT... But if this is the same minus the EBC, that I can work with for the price.
Sorry, but I'm a total noob when it comes to MS.

That's it? I want to make sure there's no other difference, as for $200 I could just get the MSPNP2 ecu. Obviously if I were to get the one for sale here, I'd get an OTS tune to get the car to run first, then tune accordingly, but I want to make sure before I send him the cash.

Yup, The ECU is wired up for the stock ecu harness. He has the sequential ignition mod but he is currently using wasted spark. You will have to run the extra wires for sequential ignition for a COP setup.
Taken from the DIY site:
"The boost control mod kit is not required for the MSPNP, DIYPNP, MS3X, or MS3-Pro. These units all feature a boost control output as standard equipment; just hook up a solenoid and turn it on in the software."
PCBv3 and v2.2 -- Boost Control Mod-Kit DIYAutoTune.com
Edit:
Your car should start right up with the current tune after setting up base timing. Just don't run boost until you get a proper tune.
