Hurm... looks like they share common evil deeds?
RAM posted on his about getting out... and I find this from iluvtruenos (roadsterdrift) on RAM's page....

Nice pull Brain. I love the theaph talking about getting his top cut to steal his lighter. When asked why people would be messing with Miata's this was the assclown's response...

Simple. Parts. Thankfully parts for Miatae are cheap and plentiful enough to not risk the jail time, lawyer fees, criminal record, and everything else associated with it, but those rear trim panels are getting pretty pricey. :evil

Well this explains why the hardtop he was going to sell me was only $650. I offered to drive down and pick it up and he got scared. That also explains why he was so hard to get ahold of. I hope he gets everything he deserves.

He did sound dumb as hell and shady on the phone.

Not sure, the only time I go there is if there's a link. Besides, I think I'm too old to be a regular.

Oops, better get this back on track...

Hope this bozo Arif gets everything coming to him.

My friend, on this forum, bought an engine from this kid. I helped put it in. It was from a '95 automatic (yet to be recovered). He voluntary went to the Northbrook PD and they called a tow truck to lift the front end to check the engine vin. Sure enough it's hot. He got to drive his car home untill he hears from the insurance company, of the owners car, as to what they want done about the engine. It might have to come out. =(
The police were grateful that he came forward so if you have any traceable parts from Arif you might want to contact the police about it. I have a feeling Arif will ple-bargin the charges down and that might involve spilling the beans as to where all the parts went.

And yes, the green car, painted black in the picture, was one of the stolen Miatas. I'm glad he's banned. One can say... He drove it like he stole it.

It doesn't matter if he spills, they cant prove anyone knew they were stolen. AlSo i dont imagine that being a plea bargain agreement. The DA doesnt care about getting the cars back he cares about getting time for Arif and his cohorts

He could still be charged with possession of stolen property. Lucky for him the police are cooperating. Police are NOT your friends. Maybe at one time they were here "to serve and protect" but now they are just another business and you need to watch your back with them as you would a used car salesman. They thrive on trickery and the more arrests they make the more money they get. You are better to keep your mouth shut because... "ANYTHING you say can and WILL BE USED -AGAINST- YOU in a court of law"
For example. I went down for 'felony criminal dumping of contaminants' because the idiot on the job site with me dumped a 5gal bucket of diluted latex paint wash water into a creek. I was questioned and spilled the beans that I saw him do it and they said I didn't try to stop him. Although I did tell him 3 times not to. Maybe I should have shot him.
As far as a bargin goes it's more people to bring down and more charges (possession) they can make.
