Default T3 downpipe project

I've had this 2.5 inch SS Prelude downpipe lying around that I was gonna have modified for my Miata with a T3. Since I bought a car already turbo, I don't need this anymore.

If anyone can weld and wants to weld this up I'll ship it for $75. It's got the good SS flapper housing for the T3, a quality flex section and a V-band.

I've often looked at those fwd dps and thought how easy it would be to make them rwd friendly. Couple (or less) of cuts and you're set. That dp has the goods too.

looks like if you cut the 90° and set the correct angle of the swing-arm it might just line right up as is....

I thought it would be easy when I bought it but don't need it now. Anyone who's looking for a cheap DP solution and can weld or has a buddy who can, hit me up. Obviously the upper part can be rotated around the v-band to get the geometry close. Heck just the flapper section goes for this price.

I stole pics from the guy I bought it off of. I don't have windows in my garage. My wife has spent a shitload on blinds, btw.

Did she order the "custom" blinds?
After we got the custom blinds estimate, mine sent me to Home Depot.:gay: I purchased the same brand as the "custom" blinds were, and HD cut them to my measurements free of charge.

I was still on crutches at the time, but was able to install most of them standing on one leg. Had a buddy help with the ones I couldn't get. Came out around $1000 instead of $4000.

We got some generics (white) at HD and cut them, but she wanted special colors too in certain rooms, and since HD didn't have foo-foo colors we custom ordered them. KY not included.

My agreement with my wife. I get the garage and the basement. You get the rest of the house. Works for me.

Sounds like we have similar agreements... I control home theater, garage, and my office. She get's to decorate everything (except garage and office) and control her studio, kitchen, living rooms, etc.

the hard part is when she says "i just dont want the living room to be TV- and speaker-centric.

my response? "Ok, we'll stick to just the one set of speakers"

I may want this...pretty bad. I live in severna park soooo yeah not far.

Let me take a look and see how much actual work it would take to make my T3 fit my T2 manifold and see what kind of clearance I have to work with.

I can't seem to find too many people interested in my T3 and i've been itching to see how it would fit. I guess I'll see what kind of measurements those adapter plates usually have and see how much room i might have.

for now though...possibly Dibs. Depends how willing my welding friends might be.

do what I'm planning to do... if you get in wall/ceiling speakers you can get away with a larger TV and still not "offend" the wife with the size of your overall system.

i would but... I build speakers as a hobby. many times. and renting means in-walls is a no-no.
