Default I/O not working - MS3 Basic

Hey guys it's been a while...

I'm currently building an Exocet from my 96 Turbo miata. I'm having issues with the I/O on my MS3 Basic. I've successfully run my MS3 Basic for a few years, but the exocet did require me to rebuild my harness.

I'm currently setting up the following I/O

input- datalog***************MS3 Datalog- AC Idle up input on stock harness - Switch to Ground
input- tableswitch***********MS3 Tableswitch- Grey- Pin 14 on DB37 - Switch to Ground
output- boost****************MS3 EBC Out- Dark Green- Pin 20 on DB37 - Low side output -
Output- VICS****************MS3 INJ F- AC Compresssor output on stock harness - Low side output -
Output- Warning LED******MS3 IAC1- Light Green- Pin 18 on DB37 - Low side output
Output- datalog LED ******MS3 INJ G- AC Fan output on stock harness blu/grn pin1a - Low side output

None of the pins changed from my old setup, and the tune did not change, and yet I cant get any of them to work..even in test mode. Other I/O outputs work such as my Fans, CEL, & Canbus wideband. All factory IO like injectors, spark, fuel pump, TPS, all work - Engine runs fine.... I'm scratching my head because I literally had no other wiring issues with my harness. Is it possible I burned something up internally?

Any help is much appreciated!

-Dave

All these inputs and outputs come from separate points, including different ribbon cables and have different ground routes on the board etc. So I don't see how they can all fail at the same time. For the outputs, check that your devices do have 12V, and that the ground that you use for the inputs is ok.

That’s good news I suppose. I’ll start debugging the harness. I checked the outputs in test mode with a multimeter checking continuity to ground with no success so that would take tune setup and 12v supply out of the equation.

You can't check the outputs by testing for continuity to the ground, it doesn't work that way.

Inputs (generally speaking) frequently need pull-ups.

check voltages.

Slight update -

input- tableswitch - Retested and it works fine
output- boost - Tested in test mode with LED - Works fine
Output- Warning LED - Had a mistake in wiring polarity - Now it's working fine

So the only things that aren't working are the ones that tie into the stock harness plug rather than the DB37. Time to dig in & track each wire down.

Update again.... Wiring Wiring Wiring.

Found a few mistakes. Only thing that isn't working now is VICs - Which seems to be wired properly to pin 1G, INJ F, AC Compressor Output.

I may just move the output to the DB37 and see if I can get it going.
