Adjusting AFR targets but making no difference, also AEM targets in volts
Hi all
I'm from the UK and have just turbo'd my Miata (jap import) and am using a MS PNP that I bought from DIY but am struggling as it runs really rich on boost.
I'm having trouble setting my AFR targets
1: they come up as voltage rather than AFR,
I'm using and AEM UEGO gauge and afr is reading the same as the gauge on the megatune, however the AFR table still shows volts?
I followed some instructions off this site but have had no luck.
2: adjusting the AFR voltage table using the AEM supplied AFR/Volt table for reference but it doesn't seem to make any difference - on boost it goes super rich, 10 and I guess that is the bottom of the gauge so it might actually be lower.
I think I must have something incorrectly ticked, but cannot find it.
Cheers Gareth

Adjusting the targets does just that, it adjusts the targets, if you want the actual fuel table to change you need to amend the VE table.
The AFR target table is used by the ECU when in closed loop i.e. when it's using the output of the O2 sensor to adjust the target. You do NOT do this when in boost/at WOT.
TunerStudio when running VE Analyze Live or Megalogvier when running logs offline also use the AFR target table to adjust the VE table.

Oh ok, so above 100kpa the AFR table isn't used, it's only there for logging in TS or MegaLogView to refine the VE table.
I'll have a play with the VE table and try and get it somewhere near before using MLV as I tried to use it before and it had an adverse affect on my vacuum running points.
