Default How happy are you with your MSPNP?

Hey guys sorry if this has been done before but I thought I would ask for some current data as people's minds change after they have been using a product for a while and start to notice some of its faults.

Basically I currently have a e-manage and o2 clamp (not installed) and was thinking of getting the auto tune as well BUT with the current state of the AUD the MSPNP has become a reasonable option.

It's for a NA6 with an avo turbo, I would like to remove AFM, increase injector size, change cams and advance/ retard timing. As per any other stand alone. How good/easy to use are these comps as there is not a big support base in AU:(

Any feedback you can give would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Damien

The two ECUs of choice are still the MS and the Adaptronic.

I could never get my fan to work, but since the car is constantly waiting on replacement parts its not really a problem.

I've been pretty happy with the MSPNP. I used to have a hot-start problem since the temps in the cranking table stop at 160, but I since did, uhm.. something, and haven't had that problem anymore. It's a fully capable ECU for a great price.

Ok sounds like theway to go, What add on's would you guys reccomend? do i need to have the bigger map sens (only plaing on running 10-11psi max) and do i still need the o2 clamp or any of that other stuff?

So far my shopping list is the mspnp, and a wideband gauge and sens. Am I missing anything that I am going wish I got later?

Thanks again,
Damien

EDIT: oh and is diyautotune still the best/cheapest place to get it from? do they do discounts for miataturbo.net members?

I had all the latest upgrades done on the board and added VTPS, 10 mos on and I'm pretty happy. Now that I know its reliable, F/I is next.

If you're going to modify your Miata it's the best ECU unit out there for the money. I've just found myself getting really lazy about working on my car recently, tired of it.

There are about 6-7 active members on that forum with different types of aspirated engines.
A few have hand-built MS'ses and have a fair bit of knowldedge both software and hardware related.

DIY Autotune are the originators of the MegaSquirt P'n'P, and their customer service is beyond exceptional

Very happy here!

Only "issue" is hot start, but the idle hunting goes away driving 30 sec down the road.
