Default Mspnp beep no communication

I have a 9093 mspnp
All plugged in
wideband wired to pin 10

When the key is on it has power and is making a constant high pitch tone. I don't think is normal because its ******* annoying. But I don't know what it means.
Also when plugged into my lap top it won't communicate. I don't know if this is related or not. I'm using a USB to db9 adaptor and I have loaded all the software that came with it.
Any ideas?
Where do I start?

either a ground fault... or maybe the idle valve? certain it's from the ecu?

update...the beep was not the ecu. it was cased by my choice of a power sorce for the wideband. I fixed that issue.
But now i still dont have any comunication with the ecu. Also The ms is only only lighting up halfway. where it says Mega Squirt. There are red leds inside or somthing but only Mega is lighting up. i thinkthis might Be related.
Where can i check the grounds for the ecu?
One more peice of information that may be related. When exstending the harness for the cas i mixed uo 2 of the wires and didnt catch it till after turining on the ecu for a few minutes. The ignitor got hot. i fixed the wire error. But could this have caused damage to the ignitior? or the ms? is there a way to test eather of them?

I've been working with Hahnlsquid by email. A this point, it can respond to a port check but not MegaTune. I've asked him to try installing TunerStudio and let me know how that works out. (This is a Gen 1 MSPNP.)

ok i now have tuner studio and it is connecting. havent tried starting yet went to make sure things are in order first. so i thought i would start small and calibrate the tps.
cant get a signal from the tps

Checking resistance on the tps i was able to determine what wires are witch.
ground 5v and sig.
But the values seem high
res between grnd and 5v constant 3.63k
res between grnd and sig closed 443 open 2.68k
res between sig and 5v closed 3.43k open 1.14k

4th wire (red) left open

spliced to the harness 3 wires, in tuner studio i get matching closed to open values under 100. (slowly rises over time about 1 point every 5 seconds) but makes to change with throttle position.

changed the wires around thinking maybe the colors change from year to year but no change. same results.

Also do the maps that came on my ms automatically load to the tuner studio? how do i go about uploading a map for the 1.8?

Does your MSPNP have the mods for VTPS input?

I was Told it has been modded...and i was rid a way to test its to see if the values creep up...and they do. So yeah i would think yes....is there a place in the harness where i could have a problem between tps and ecu?....would i do somthing different with the 4th wire? Perhaps just crusg the car and give up.
