Default MSPNP Problematic first start - now with turbokitty basemap

Hi, I know I've commited the cardinal sin of doing allofthemods in one go, but I would appreciate a friendly nudge in the right direction when it comes to getting my MSPNP to play nice with my new motor...

I'll give you a bit of a summary of the car & motor and will attach my msq if that helps, then decribe my first start attempts...
  • Chassis is a NA6 auto Jap Import swapped with a home built motor and 6speed manual trans.
  • Motor (the relavent bits for this question) is basically a NB8 swap, so...
    • it's running cam and crank hall effect sensors
    • has jenvey ITBs, so running Alpha-N
    • bosch 315cc injectors
    • bosch vtps
    • toyota cops

I made the cops conversion per the guide on here (thanks, some quality info sharing btw) and followed the "how to vvt" guide for the injector loom.
I've loaded up a "modified motor" basemap from diyautotune (where my MSPNP2 v1.2 was sourced a few years ago) and been through modifiying it to my understanding of what's needed for my setup:
  • alpha-n - primary fuel load
  • tps calibrated
  • required fuel for the bosch injectors
  • spark mode - 99-00
  • ignition settings for toyota cops (from here)

Problem: I don't have enough knowledge to interrorgate tunerstudio to identify the issue causing...

Cranks, has spark, seems to have fuel (wet plugs after cranking), does "sync" while cranking (which I assume means cas/cps are working) but doesn't even start to catch. I went thru the idle tuning pain with the old motor, so kinda know what to do once it's running to iron out problems with idle, but for it to not even cough, I'm stuck.

Can you help point out where I might have missed something in the base map settings, or give me some hints of what I can do/check to troubleshoot? I took a 'composit log' but not sure how to interporate the data, if what I output is useful... I've attached that for your amusement also!

Ok, so I've fixed the obvious problem: basemap should match up to chassis year...

I've flashed the latest firmware to match up to a NA6 basemap from turbokitty. Modified this for Alpha-N, 99 triggers and toyota cop. (attached latest attempt at a base map)

Cranks, occasionally backfires (spectacularly) but no start. Composit log looks like the tiggers are there... can anyone point out what I'm missing?
