S4 stuff will be history. The low cost components with an iron manifold will still be in production.

The improvements with the new design are too long for me to try typing and stay awake.

BTW, that's a remote gate hanging off the manifold. Standard.

I don't know how a piece of scrap alaly got pictured as a heat shield. so it goes........

Hi jestmaty. I'm usually a lurker here, and other forums, for helpful information from fellow Miata fans. My 1996 M-Edition is at Corky's for the same proto-turbo program. Like you, when I offered my Miata for the project, I told Corky that I'd rather things done right than hastily. His most recent communication, two days ago, is that he expects to be releasing our project Miata's in about three weeks. Sure looking forward to it. I'll have to start saving up for that clutch I'll likely need in the future.

These pictures are from the early fitment:

Those are not bad. Looks very much like the very first manifold I made for my 1st miata, with which I copied the discontinued ETD shorty, which was actually a decent design IMO. Makes the downpipe a lot more obstructed and not as smooth but then most designs are a compromise in packaging.

Ok, I need to clean up my pc. It froze so badly that I just couldn't unfreeze it.

Lost my long pm to you baustx :(

It was just random talk about your goals, mods, etc...

NW_Bill was nice enough to offer to send my email to you via pm, I just sent him my email via email.

I, too, wonder if the strut bar is going to be kept?

This post's topic, originated in march of 2013 and now with 110 messages, was about the "BEGi NB200 Turbo Kit". I think I read he is retiring that product. Maybe a new Topic Post should be created to discuss the new BEGI kit when it's out. I don't think it has a product or kit name yet... but I know I am excited to have participated in its' development.

There... post #4, only 11 to go to achieve PM rights.

I think that privilege should be left to Corky.

Agreed.

Are you concerned to post anything publicly yet like I am? Corky and Stephanie didn't tell me NOT to post info, but realistically, I don't KNOW much about what's been done.

I just threw them the keys, wrote a check, and said, "How long till it's done?"

A mutual friend here has given you my email address, we can chat privately until the pm feature works?

Edit: Dang Greasemonkey, I was typing my response and you beat me to posting it!

As it should be. I was just referring to Corky's posts #91 and #101 in this thread and I did suggest a new topic... "when it is out".

The strut brace has plenty of space.

Call them....

All turbo kits are in 're development' stage.

My car is one of three that are beta/r&d/test cars for new turbos.... early 90's 1.6, later 1.8's and NB's from 99 thru 05 are being re tweaked.

I guess they've taken the S4 off the table?

Twodoor ...

My car, too, is among those beta/r&d/test cars for new turbos. I think Corky's comment is just from his enthusiasm to be producing/implementing a new product line to offer to Miata folks. I doubt that they won't have a kit to deliver to you or that he meant the S4 kit was ****.... It's possible that it might even have some of the upgraded tech or components from the R&D they're doing for the new product line.

As Jestmaty said earlier...just call Corky or Stephanie at Bell Engineering.

I talked to Stephanie on the phone today about the death of the S4 and she said that the new system will probably make about the same power as the old setup with similar spool up and whatnot. So, unless the new system is substantially lower in cost (don't see why it would be) then I am satisfied with my purchase. She is going to have a talk with her Dad about freaking out customers with his enthusiastic posts about items undergoing beta testing and how they make the systems currently in production and for sale on their website obsolete.
