Scott. Even If its realllly loud, I mean, so loud that you can hear it from literally a block away! Turbo starts to smoke, and the intake manifold gets weirdly hot after just a short drive with no high revs (because I cant)

"Can't say with confidence that the ignitor failue does or does not have anything to do with the overheat event. However, I can say with confidence that the ignitor is bad, and that is what caused Scott's stumbling and backfiring when he tried to boost. It is also very likely the cause of the missing cylinder(s) events."
As Ben said, Scotts igniter could be bad.
Me and scott have almost the same problem, except my car runs like crap 24/7. so im thinking my problem may be the same..gonna try and get a igniter tommorrow!
Quick Edit, Exhaust smokes at idle when I floor it, not sure about under load.

check your timing again, sounds like it could be off.
loud hla's eh? did you add oil in? remember when you completely rebuild an engine, you'll have to add more then the recomended amount, to fill up all the little cavities and such in the head and block.

you can take out all the hla's and just press them with your hand.
they are very hard to press...(if not replace with old head's hla's)
After you found 16 nice ones let them stay overnight in some paint remover( don't know the name in english )
The next day try to get movement in them (you can see the spirits getting out...) Must be hard, but without jamming...
Use compressed air to try to get all the spirrits out.
At startup the hla's have no oil so please have patience, use some oil just to glide them into position.
(also oil up the cams)
It is quite common after a long stay that the hla's are clogged... normally it goes away after a short drive.

Well, When The valve cover and all was off i checked and turned a few times (whole circulations) and all was good. Now i cant see the bottom cog, but the two cams look dead on.
I have a quiestion.
Is it possible that when i siliconed the head, that i block3ed the main oil port...but it says i have good oil pressure, if that was blocked would it still read good oil pressure?

Well, The cars been in the shop for a couple days, he hasnt started on it yet, but I suspect he starts tommorrow. I finally got a New lower timing cover from the dealer, a new cog, new walbro 190hp fuel pump, and new fuel filter. But hopefully he can get the old cog off, even though i used locktite on the key. He said he has a cog puller, but idunno if he can fit it behind the cog, if he can, then cool, i dont have to worry about that. Im guessing my car will be done sometime next week, and I cant wait to be boosting again!
