Default EFR6258 leaking?

Doing some basic looking around here less than 100 miles on the TSE kit. Noticing a leak above the oil drain almost like it's coming from the exhaust housing? Haven't seen this before - not sure if there's something i should be concerned about

On a Garrett, oil around the turbine housing flange is frequently indicative of a restrictive drain or oil pressure that is too high.

Not a Garrett and the oil drain is to spec according to BW.

Here is a good thread if you haven't seen it. Looks like Garretts and BWs are pretty similar in this regard.

The scale is difficult, that is -10 line? Sure looks to me like there is a threaded adapter being used.

Make sure the o-ring on the drain flange isn't torn or cut. Rover did this very early on, o-ring was the culprit.

O-ring looks healthy. The leaking seems isolated to that bottom area still

Clean the area real good with a degreaser.

Add oil dye to oil

drive for a bit and check exactly where the leak is coming from with a ultra violet light

Oil should already glow in UV. There aren't many options for a leak there - it's either the drain or the feed.

Also, I haven't looked at one up close in a while, but I am pretty sure the CHRA tabs are clocked wrong and they look like they're not actually holding onto the CHRA? Might be an optical illusion but double-check them.

Yup looks like the tabs are pinching on the chra.

FML you were right. I’m an idiot and had the bottom tabs clocked wrong (top were ok). Thank you! 🍻
