rev 1 had 3-bolt flanges. actually rev 1.5 still has two, but when it gets warm enough to weld .... off they go.

exactly what Im running. I wanted louder, so I removed the muffler and added a stinger. perfect for me now.

I vote 1 resonator, 1 muffler, 2.5 or 3 pipe I dont think it'll make that big of a difference if your muffling it.

I just decided that I am going to redo my exhaust, I am going to use a resonator, an ebay tuner muffler and I am also going to make a test pipe. Should be a cool experiment, and I will post pics when it is done. I will be going out the drivers side this time and not the passenger.

my experience with the tuner "mufflers" is that they make the exhaust louder and more shitty sounding than a straight pipe. i'd never put one on an inline four. I have heard them sound good on flat fours, I/V 6s, and v8s.

I tend to agree with arkmage, the canister mufflers dont always sound so "good". but some people really like it, I love raspy exhaust, but not farty lol.

turbo 14 I like either straight out, or the regular kind of turbo muffler, like I have. I havent really heard that many different configs on miatas specifically though, mostly sr20/kade(t)/4ag(t)'s. but out of those straight pipe sounds rad :P

See this is where I get confused. Alot of the people I have talked to about what exhaust to make they all say since it's turbo I can run almost anything as long as its not restrictive, and it won't sound like a fart can.

That being said, I'm not going with a fart can because I don't like how tight of a bend is needed on the Miata to make it fit behind the bumper. I'm going with 2 resonators and 3" pipe with just a tip. After I hear this and drive it for a while I may add a muffler or modify it in some way.

Braineack, can you tell me how those round mufflers on your site are different than a glasspack? I'm not sure on which to run.

Thanks for the help everyone.

If you want to use a tuner muffler, mount it like the "tuners". If you **** it at a 45* angle toward the exit then you won't have a really tight bend in there. You can replace two 90*s with one 45*.
