Exhaust support??
So after cracking another manifold i am trying to figure out where to alleviate stress and in looking at my exhaust manifold as per someones suggestion, I noticed that it has only two supports holding it on, and they are both located near the rear of the car. I was a wondering does anyone know where another brace for the exhaust would be good and how to go along fabbing one up?
Hopefully bracing it would help alleviate some of the lateral force that would be exerted on the manifold during spirited driving.

I made a little "L" bracket to go on one of the transmission bolts and then put an oversize muffler clamp around the DP and the "L". I did have to flatten the DP with a BFH so that I could pull it against the transmission to a position that it put no stress on the bolts to the turbo.
you can also use one of the large diameter screw-clamps, like for intercooler hoses. They should hold up and you can fine tune it to just provide enough tension as to not stress the turbo but to provide support.
or you can weld one in and have it rip itself off the dp leaving a big hole. either way!
