But looks like the nb1s are still not carb legal due to the removal of the 1st cat? :(

Close, at least the only one I'd consider if I needed that EO.

Kudos to them making it happen. Kind of nice to see their new general manager get them into the present-day.

You can still register 49 state NB1's in California though right? This just means if you want to turbo a California NB1 you need to take it out of California. If you want to stay in California and want to turbo an NB1 then you need to find a not-California car to turbo.

Exactly. The one-cat cars are covered, and I know there are a bunch of those legally in CA by this point. The two-cat cars are technically covered but we don't have a manifold at the moment. If we make the decision to produce a manifold - that's a business decision based on cost and demand - then they'll be legal as well.
