I think the 3 major things would be:
a complete crossover tube: http://www.etdracing.com/miatatube.html
a better DP; that completely replaces the factory unit to the cat. At LEAST 2.25".
a better filter; one that does not have the nuts inside the filter itself

Although I am using AN plumbing on mine, I didn't think the stock Greddy oil feed line was bad. The stock oil return hose is a bit hokey, but then I don't expect Greddy to require that its buyers drill and tap their oil pan like many of us do. It seems like an adequate compromise given the constraints of dealing with a globally mass-marketed commodity product as opposed to the more boutique-style operations such as FM/Bell.
All in all, you gotta admit the Greddy turbo system is a pretty decent setup for the price.
Chris- any update on the CARB stickers as far as the part number is concerned? I drove up to your shop about a year ago to pick one up (my kit was missing the sticker) and although it has the correct EO number printed on it the part number didn't match the documentation or the EO paperwork. Fortunately it hasn't caused me an inspection failure yet, but I'd really like to get a correct one if they exist.

Here they are in no particular order:
-The metric to ???? adapter is quite fragile and prone to breaking off in the block. Once that tiny part breaks you are focked and must either wait for ever to get it or replace the whole works. And HOPE that it is easy to remove from the block.
-The line itself is prone to leaks at the fittings.
-Difficult to route.
-Very coarse SS braid on the outside will cut through anything it rests against.
-Goofy non-standard part. Which really goes against the idea of mass market.
-It's ugly.
-I poked a hole in my finger from where the line started to fray.
-Upside is I sold it. Downside is it could have cost me an engine.
Like I said, sucks *****

Firedog, the project has been cancelled, sorry!

Attached is a picture of the CARB sticker that I was given last year when I came up to visit you guys. It lists EO # D-397, Part # 323819. However if you look at the actual text of CARB EO D-397 it lists the P/N of the kit as 323814, which agrees with the part number listed in the instructions that come with the kit.
Fulltext of the CARB EO here: http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/eo/D-397.pdf
Fortunately this has not yet caused me to fail an inspection, but it's been a concern.
