Default Installed Greddy in 3 hours !!!

Got the base kit installed with upgraded hardware installed yesterday after work. Only took 3 hours!!!

Only bad thing is my timing is still set at 14 degrees! So no revving above 3.5k rpm right now :(

I am retarding my timing, installing ngk zfr7f-11 plugs gapped at .035, and a walbro 190lph HP today on my lunch break.

This car feels like it will be as fast or faster than a healthy SR powered 240

Just wanted to update my progress and say thanks again!

It's not a record, but still impressive.

listen for ping, you have no intercooler and advanced timing...

Coo brother. Took me all day my first time. Mostly cuz of rusty bolts on the exhaust but its all good. Get an i/c and turn up the boost!

mine took 2 hours.

Comparable to an sr20 powered 240 about even. A friend of mine has a stock sr in a 240 and its about a dead even race from 2nd gear.

Thanks for all of the replies

I got the timing set to ~5-6 degrees static and installed the plugs, but I don't want to tighten my wastegate (to get rid of that annoying rattle ) untill I install my fuel pump

Kills already include several late model mustangs and camaros

Cool...maybe we can meet up sometime. I am going to meagasquirt my car, and if I wouldn't have bought the greddy I probably would have built a GT2554R based setup...so I would definately like to check out your car!

Thanks again guys... couldn't have done it without you

B.S. Unless you had it on a lift, did nothing with the exhaust, and had 2 people helping you!

I'm pretty sure I could do a standard GReddy kit in under 2 hours, with air tools. We did one in two hours flat with 3 guys working on it in sections with hand tools.

Is it ok to just bolt the kit up with minimal to no tuning, and go beat on it?
