Default Intercooler coupler

Looks like my coupler that came with the J.B. kit dry rotted. Any temporary fixes? all import stores are closed.

They may sound weird but you can get good quality hose couplers at Home Depot.

Really? good stuff

The coupler i need is where it attaches to the turbo so it gets pretty hot.

Just head down the plumbing isle,I'm sure you will find something that will fit your needs.

I've never seen a high quality coupler at Home Depot. I've seen couplers that will explode, melt or collapse in an automotive application.

I would just do a temp fix and get some quality silicone when you are able.

those guys do get pretty pilable when constantly heated, but will work as a temp fix. what size coupler do you need? can it be temporarily fixed? Any hardware stores open? Try silicone tape.

What about going to Autozone/Pep Boys/Checkers and asking if they have any 2'' (or whatever size the connector is) radiator hose and using that? I see plenty people using radiator hose.

Yeah I've been using 2" rad hose from crapzone for years on multiple apps... IIRC I posted the crapzone #'s somewhere...

You could also try going to Diesel Truck Parts Store. They should carry some hi-temp hoses for a temp fix.

I've got 7k miles on radiator hose couplers. Ok so far.

Probably will go to some silicone couplers one day, if I'm ever feeling motivated, but would be doing it only to look less ghetto

*update*
my ghetto rubber hose couplers are still fine. one of the "nice" couplers that came with the greddy kit just developed a crack.

I have J**'s intercooler setup and the only couplers I have replaced have been the stock greddy couplers (due to the heat of turbo, I think). The ugly rubber hose couplers are still on my car and still operating correctly.

The couplers I received from WOT are nice.

What size do you need?

Right now I only need one coupler to go between the greddy/mitsu turbo and the intake tube. Whatever size that is.

Sometime in the future, I plan on redoing my fmic system, and I'll get real couplers and t clamps, but that's not gonna be for a while.

If you see something you want let me know, I'm sort of the US sales manager for the company...
