I will stick with my ugly looking black rubber hoses for now. I can't justify spending that type of money at this time.

Word. I don't really want to be on this board as any sort of representative of the company, not only will it prevent me from being an obnoxious ******* when needed but it will also make me feel like a complete loser if I check the baord at home.

Someone has pm'd me directly asking about a discount for the board members so I figure I will offer you guys 15% off. Unless I don't like you, then you can **** off.

Will your silicone hoses deform under pressure?

The burst pressure varies on the size of the hose but if i remember correctly its something on the order of 300 psi. The company that makes the stuff is based out of the UK and its in the wee hours of the morning over there right now or I'd get the tech guy on AIM to double check...

Yeah, it was a bit of a joke because of the hard time some folks were giving Flyin' Miata for using pre-formed silicone tubing for the entire charge air tract on their new turbo kits.

I was in the "those-silicone-hoses-have-very-high-burst-pressures-and-they're-not-gonna-deform-under-pressure" camp

As a matter of fact, about 1/3 of my intake tract is made up of Volvo pieces. I only used the aluminum pieces and a couple of the stronger couplers, though I do remember a few pieces being woefully squishy.

And you'll be happy to know I never once thought of your wife throughout the entire ordeal.

IIRC... yeah, I should have specified Volvo S40/S70..The I/C to the TB is very thin and squishy-- but @ 2/1/2" it's perfect size for some DIY stuff..

The earlier ones have a lot metal piping (850/940/740/240).
Saab has some pretty squishy piping as well...

So is the Axon back?
I just noticed it in your sig...

Yeah, my piping was from a 940...as was my turbo. The Axon's never left...my car

It's on the back-burner at the moment, but 2G™ is also currently working (when time permits) on a ignition computer. Will be modular so that you just add the fuel computer and EBC later and they talk to each other. Should be interesting.
