Default Greddy now comes with 16g? huh...

So I bought my kit today at a Pann Auto in san diego and the guy was saying that they switched to 16g mitsubishi turbos in the kit? Anyone else hear this? I thought it was a TD04H? Well i guess i will find out on thursday when i pick it up and find out...

maybe he read it wrong? but is there a way to tell from just looking at it when i get it... Is this the corect map for the TD04H-15G that comes with it? http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/turbo/Tu...s/td04-15g.gif ?

doubt it, 15g has been the supplied turbo for a while, it's enought to push your motor to the breaking point

They did change the compressor wheel at some point awhile back, but I've heard nothing about upgrading the entire turbo.

if they changed the wheels to a bigger size is it then a Super 15g?

no they used to have a 15c compressor that was said to flow a little more but not signifcantly. 16g is alot bigger in the footprint than the 15g aswell. Flanges are huge compared to the puny greddy mounts also.

They are HPS's. They'll be perfectly fine for the trackday. I tracked it before with the stock pads and I had some fade later in the day. The four piston calipers that come stock on it are up to the task.

I have HPS's up front on the gto and they do pretty well. much better than the OE pads when they're hot. almost hit something at 130+ to find that out.
